my healthy nutella recipe

PLEASE MAKE NOTE THAT THIS RECIPE IS FOR ADULT CONSUMPTION.

THIS IS NOT FOR INFANT CONSUMPTION.

As a nursing mother, who is overproducing milk, I am always trying to find ways to significantly increase my daily calorie intake.

Sadly (but very much happily), I usually do that with a lot of ice cream and a lot of easily accessible processed foods.
So, I came up with this simple healthy nutella recipe to motivate myself to incorporate more healthy fats.

Plus, I can easily just use it as an ice cream topping! Ah, the best of both worlds. I can eat ice cream while eating the healthy fats my nursing body desperately needs.

To make this recipe, I used my Sage Baby Puree Blender.

It should be about this consistency

Ingredients
1 cup roasted hazelnuts
1 tablespoon 100% cocoa powder
Pinch of pink Himalayan salt
1 teaspoon of pure vanilla extract
5 pitted medium sized dates
1 tablespoon pure maple syrup (You can opt to add more maple syrup for a sweeter spread)
2/3 cup of silk original soy milk

Steps
1.) Soak the dates in warm water for about an hour. After an hour, drain and toss the water.

2.) Place all ingredients into the food processor section of the Sage Baby Puree Blender.

3.) Blend for as long as you desire. For a more chunky spread, blend for less time. For a more smooth spread, blend for more time.

4.) Store your spread into a sterilized airtight container.Store in the refrigerator.
