This 5 ingredient infant cookie is super easy to make. It will take no more than 30 minutes of your day. With the 30 minute time investment, you will have a healthy and nutrient dense snack for your baby all week long.
You can feed this recipe to any infant who is able to take solids.
My baby is 7 months old and loves this treat. She will literally beg me for more. And I don't blame her. It's actually quite delicious.
Just so you are aware, I try all of the snacks I create for my baby. And (shamefully) I must admit, I would eat this as a nursing snack any day. But, that may be my uncontrollably, always HUNGRY (hungry, in all caps) breastfeeding stomach speaking.
To make this recipe, I used my Sage Baby Puree Blender.
Thank the baby food gods.

For your reference, this is the consistency of the dough when it goes through the food processor.
These snacks are in the shape of a ball to fit into an infant's fist.
To make the shape, I used a spoon and scooped it directly onto a parchment lined baking sheet. The shapes do not need to be a perfect ball shape. In fact, all of my cookies are always mixed matched in shape. I think it adds charm, don't you?
Ingredients
1 cup infant oatmeal
1/4 cup pumpkin seeds
1 whole ripe plantain
1/4 cup hemp seeds
1/4 cup mixed nut butter (Note: If you do not have mixed nut butter, you can use all natural peanut butter to sub)
Steps
Step 1
Add all of the ingredients into the food processor. Process the ingredients until a dough forms. The consistency of the dough should look like the photo above.
Step 2
Scoop 14 ball shaped cookies onto a parchment lined baking sheet. Use a spoon to help you scoop the balls.
Step 3
Set oven to 350 degrees F.
Once the oven reaches 350 degrees F, place biscuits in for 15 minutes.
Step 4
After the 15 minutes, take the cookie out of the oven.
Gently and slowly, flip each cookie over. At this point, the cookies are not set so be super gentle or they will fall apart.
Step 5
Once each cookie is flipped over, place back into the over for an additional 5 minutes.
Step 6
Let the cookies cool for at least an hour. This is a crucial step because it will allow the cookies to set and harden.
And you're all done!
I just have to say one last thing. Your baby is very lucky to have a humble maid and cook like you in their life.
Sigh, now if only your baby knew how lucky they are to have free maid and cook service.
