Elle. O. V. E

When I was 16 years old, I lost my hero. I lost my father. Since that day, I miss his gentle soul every single day. And since I lost my hero, I have not celebrated Father's Day.

However, after 15 years I get to celebrate Father's Day once more. Today, I get to celebrate my husband's love for our daughter, Elle. Today I get to celebrate the sacrifices my husband has and will ever make for Elle.

To my husband, thank you for sparking joy on Father's Day once more. A day that has once only filled my heart with sorrow has new meaning because of you.

Hubby, please always remember that you will forever be Elle's first love. You will teach her self respect with the love and respect you always show her. You will teach her self love with all of the kind words you ever tell her. You will teach her that a loving man does anything in his power to see her smile even if it is only for a second more. You will teach her that a real man does everything and anything in his power to keep his family healthy and happy. I know these things to be true because those are some of the lessons my daddy taught me. And with those lessons, I picked a kind hearted man like you to spend the rest of my life with.

You are everything my dad ever wanted for me and you are everything I ever want for Elle.
