Knee-High Stuart Weitzman Boots (Highland) Review

Are you thinking about buying those Stuart Weitzman boots that are currently all the rage? It's a big purchase, so I commend you on doing your research...

On today's post, I am giving you my honest and candid thoughts on Mr. Weitzman's oh-so-popular knee-high boots. Then, I will end this post with an easy outfit to rock those boots in. That way, when you do decide to purchase them, you can get some inspiration for your own look.

I bought the Highland in black suede. Since my feet are pretty wide, I opted to go with the medium width. The price tag on these showstopping boots is $798 and that's before taxes. Let's just say that I need to wear these beauties at least 798 times (plus whatever I paid in taxes) before I can make myself feel better about the splurge

Pros:
1.) The boots do not scuff up even when you walk through gravel. That's Stuart Weitzman's high quality suede coming into play.

2.) Easy to slip on and off considering they are pretty long boots.

3.) Easy to clean when it gets dirty.
TIP: You can use a simple kitchen sponge (on it's soft side) and lightly wipe off any dirt. Do not to use any water on the suede.

4.) It is very comfortable, I can wear these for hours!

Cons:
1.) I have pretty thin legs so, the boots do not stay on my thighs as tight as I would like them to. From time to time, they kind of slip off. For more insight, my thighs are about 15 inches in circumference.

2.) I have pretty short legs, so the boots hit me way over my knees. For more insight, my legs are about 37.5 inches from my feet to my hip bones. I am 5'4 in height.

3.) The suede smells so weird. It has a very particular smell and sometimes it actually makes me feel sick. I store my boots in their original box and every time I open the box to retrieve my boots, the pungent smell hits me. When I store my boots in an open space, the smell does not hit me as hard.

If you own a pair, what do you think about the boots? Let me and your fellow readers know in the comment box below.

  4. I love these shoes, however I'm a bit shorter than you and my legs are a bit thicker (not that good combination, haha) and I'm afraid I wouldn't look good in them. But I must say they look great on you!
